The Pilot Program provides teachers with practical, curriculum-aligned teaching materials, professional learning and ongoing support—all designed by world class educators—to explore the diverse religions and worldviews that shape Australia with their students.
Religions and Worldviews is designed to empower teachers to confidently lead inclusive learning on the big questions in life that they already know are relevant to their students as individuals and as a cohort. It provides inquiry-based learning tools that promote respect, curiosity and critical thinking.
No, due to the financial support of the Templeton World Charity Foundation and the Collier Charitable Fund, all schools partipating in the Pilot Program will receive access to the teaching resources and professional learning at no cost.
The Pilot Program is being independently evaluated by the University of Melbourne Faculty of Education to understand the pilot’s impact on student and teacher attitudes towards religions and worldviews. Feedback from participants will inform improvements and future development of the program, with the findings guiding decisions about broader implementation and resource development.
Schools and educators who register for the Pilot Program will gain access to high-quality lesson plans, teacher materials, and professional learning designed to support inclusive and engaging teaching of religions and worldviews.
